INS Mandovi, Goa emerged runners-up in the India Offshore Race 2008 organised by the Offshore Sailing Association of India, on Tuesday.
The team was presented a trophy and a cash award of Rs 30,000 by Vice-Admiral Sunil K Damle, President of Offshore Sailing Association.
Indian Naval Watermanship and Training Centre, Visakhapatnam, won the overall championship and received a trophy and a cash award of Rs 50,000.
INS Chilka, Orissa, won the third place in a close race with eight teams, including three teams from Kochi, one each from INS Visakhapatnam, INS Chilka, INS Mandovi, the Kerala Yachting Association and the Alero, a foreign team.
INS Mandovi finish 2nd
