PANJIM: John Paul II Foundation for Sports (JP2F4S), Goa, the newly established sports centre of Archdiocese of Goa in association with Diocesan Youth Centre, Goa will organize the final round of Archbishop’s Trophy (seniors) Inter Deanery Youth under-30 football tournament 2014 on February 16, at new Pilar Society Sports Complex ground, Pilar and Fr. Agnel’s College ground, Pilar, from 9 a.m.
In all 13 Deanery teams are expected to participate and will play league-cum-knock out matches at the final stages.
The JP2F4S will also be organizing second Bl. Jose Vaz Cup for the Diocesan/ Religious orders consisting of priests and seminarians on February 20 at Agassaim Church, ground with over eight teams confirming their participation. The teams include the Diocesan, Pilar, SVD’s, Capuchians, Salesians, Dominicans/Redemptorist, Pallotines and others.
This year the foundation is encouraging some of the congregations of Sisters to also participate in the throw ball event for women to encourage physical fitness among the Servants of God to be a part of Bl. Jose Vaz Sports Festival. For details contact Kennedy D’Silva on 9850169370.
