PANJIM: Iqbal XI got the better of Polem Cricket Club by three wickets in 31st Nanda Lolayekar Trophy cricket tournament organized by Mashem Cricket Club at Nirakar Maidan Dapot, Mashem, Canacona, Wednesday.
Polem won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 194/9. In reply, Iqbal started their chase on a bright note. Vikas Desai scored a brilliant 78 off just 58 balls while Tushar Sawant 59 (31 balls) provided adequate support to him. D Tannu also chipped in with 23 runs.
