PANJIM: Football lovers got up close and personal with their favourite game as ISL activations kicked off at Inox, here, recently.
To create fan engagement and connect with lovers of the sport, a giant football shaped dome was created outside the Inox.
The dome was a fabricated air-conditioned structure designed to house interactive games and experiential activities. A virtual penalty shoot-out game was the highlight of the activations, wherein the game provided five opportunities to the users to score goals.
A giant screen displaying goal post and goal keeper was placed in the dome. Penalty marker was designed at appropriate distance for the players to shoot. As per the speed and direction of the kick, the ball moved towards the goal post inside the giant screen. “Gesture Based Motion Sensor” technology was used to detect the motion and speed of the kick.
This innovative technology was used to generate widespread interest in the game with prizes being handed out to participants who scored four times or more out of five.
Apart from the game, other interactive activities included a Photoboxi where fans could click selfies against a backdrop featuring the football players. A foosball table and a merchandise counter completed the experience. With the use of interactive technology, building on the spirit of the sport, the activations generated a huge impact to the overall event.
Crowd participation and a continuously engaged audience resulted in high footfalls at the ISL activations in Goa. The activation programs took place across the eight participating cities including Goa.
