AGENCIES, MUMBAI: Stars from the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) continue to make waves in the transfer market with numerous clubs from around the globe lining up for their signatures.
Ofentse Nato, who anchored Atletico de Kolkata’s midfield signed a four-month contract with Botswanan outfit Township Rollers FC.
Excited at the prospect of returning to his country, Nato said, “I feel happy and proud today, to be back in my homeland and be part of this big club I always dreamt of. I ambitiously look ahead to winning trophies, let it be the league or cups, and help the club reach the supporters’ objectives. I now passionately look forward to playing my first game with Township Rollers.”
His teammate and Atletico de Kolkata’s talismanic frontman Iain Hume’s services were secured recently by Spanish second division side SD Ponferradina. Hume, who scored 11 goals and provided four assists in the second season of the Hero ISL, announced his move via social media.
FC Goa’s midfield linchpin Leo Moura has also been on the move. The veteran midfielder has joined Brazilian side Clube Atletico Metropolitano. “Returning to Brazilian football is special. I have never played in Santa Catarina but I see that it is a well-balanced competition. I am increasingly adapting day by day, enjoying increasingly being here. I’m sure it was a good choice,” enthused Moura.
