MARGAO: A second half penalty conversion by striker Ivan Pinto helped Chandor Club overcome Sporting Club of Davorlim 1-0 to cruise into the quarter-finals of all-Goa 33rd Gold Silver Rolling Trophy inter-village football tournament organized by Navelim Sporting Club, at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Saturday. There was no score at the lemon break.
The all-important goal came in the 45th minute after rival defender Bonnie Niasso brought down Ivan Pinto inside the penalty.
Ivan himself took the resultant spot-kick and sent the rival goalkeeper on the wrong way.
