MARGAO: Bethany Convent School, Sao Jose de Areal; Perpetual Succour Convent HS, Navelim and Fatima Convent HS, Margao won their respective matches to enter the semi-finals of Salcete Taluka inter-school U-17 football tournament, at Manora ground, Raia, on Saturday.
In the first match, Bethany Convent thumped St Rita HS, Maina
4-0 with Mellany Viegas scoring a brace while Clencia Costa and Flossy Oliviera accounted a goal each.
Perpetual Convent school also booked their place in the semis with a 2-0 win over Kings School, Sao Jose de Areal. Merica Pereira and Feeble Andrade were the scorers.
Marlat Cardozo scored superb hat-trick in Fatima Convent School 4-0 win over Manovikas English Medium School. Jeromino Dias added her name in the goal scoring list.
