PANJIM: Jai Shriram Sports Club, Bicholim blanked Talishwar Sports Club, Mayem 2-0 in the final to emerge champions in the all-Goa floodlight football tournament organized by Manyata FC of Devgim-Chorao at the Saude football ground, Chorao, recently.
The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs 30,000 plus trophy while runners-up got Rs 20,000 and a trophy. In all, 32 teams participated.
Individual best performances are as follows: Best striker Sandesh (SRC, Dhulapi), best goalkeeper Anand (Taleshwar), best defender Minesh (Jai Shriram), best player of the tournament Rajat (Jai Shriram), Manyata Champs Shashank (Valankanni Boys) and best discipline team in the tournament Chorao United.
Chief guest Millind Mahale gave away the prizes in the presence of guest of honour Sarpanch, V.P Chorao, Vassudev Dhuri and Millind Shirodkar.
Earlier, Manyata FC President Sashank Vaigankar welcome and later proposed the vote of thanks.
