RAIA: Micon Warriors, Agalli, defeated TCM Boys, Curtorim, 2-1 to move into the semi-finals of 17th Rebello Pandal All-Goa Open Football Tournament organised by Rebello Pandal, Maina, at St Rita Church ground, Maina-Curtorim, on Monday.
Micon Warriors stuck the first goal in the 19th minute through Milton Rodrigues with a neat placement which was well-fed by Michael Gomes.
After resumption of second half, TCM Boys mounted pressure on Micon Warriors’ defence and found the equaliser through Jaison in the 44th minute with a powerful volley from the top of the box.
As match progressed, both teams showed urgency to score the winning goal but it was Micon Warriors’ Jesroy Dias, who headed home with the assist from Gail that turn to be the winning goal.
Sailesh Prabu, a veteran football lover presented the man-of-the-match award to Imam Sab of TCM Boys.
