RAIA: Joe Cookies Veterans defeated Verna Veterans 6-4 via tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of 4th all Goa veterans football tournament organised by Batora United at DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Thursday.
Joe cookies scored two quick goals with the efforts of Joe Rose in the 5th and 10th minute. As the match progressed in the second half, Verna Veterans netted through Seby and Remy in the 46th and 50th minutes respectively. At the end of regulation time, both teams settled for a 2-2 draw.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Joe Cookies Veterans were on target through Agnelo, Krishna, Joe Rose and Johnny and for Verna Veterans Seby and Remy scored.
