PANJIM: Joel Gonsalves of ABS Fitness Gym Chinchinim emerged winners of Mr Nagoa 2016 at the 1st All Goa Bodybuilding Championship, organised by Nagoa Panchayat Gymnasium, on Saturday.
This event was conducted by Goa Bodybuilding and Fitness Association under the rules and regulations of IBBF. Chief guest and Nuvem MLA Mickey Pacheco praised the efforts taken by the Nagoa Panchayat members to promote bodybuilding sports in Nagoa.
While speaking on the occasion, Pacheco assured all the support needed for GBBFA for future events to be organized in Goa. He appreciated Sanjay Patil – President GBBFA for the tremendous efforts taken to uplift the well being of bodybuilders and promoting bodybuilding sports in Goa.
Joel Gonsalves was also awarded the ‘Champion of Champions’ award. The team championship was bagged by Kings Gym Margao. While Amit Talekar (Super Universal Gym, Navelim) won the most promising bodybuilder, Shubham Gauns (SAG Curchorem) won the best poser award.
Result: 55kg weight category: 1st place: Ganesh Rajput (Kings Gym, Margao); 2nd place: Irranna Acharya (Kings Gym, Margao); 3rd place: Dattaprasad Naik (Kings Gym, Margao); 4th place: Shahid S Kazi (Chiranjivee Gym, Ponda); 5th place: Ramdas Tari (Hardcorzz, Marcela).
60kg weight category: Shubham Gauns (SAG, Curchorem); Satish Kunkolkar (Norberts Gym); Tushar Shet (Dattakrupa Gym, Vasco); Nitin Murgaokar (Pitbull Gym, St Cruz) and Siddesh Raikar(Pitbull Gym, St Cruz).
65kg weight category: Laxmikant Bhomkar (Norberts Gym); Suraj Kunkolkar(Pitbull Gym, St Cruz); Dinesh Govekar (Muscletech Power Gym, Zuarinagar); Abhishek Naik (Kings Gym, Margao) and Avidh Morajkar (SAG Campal).
70kg weight catergory: Amit Talekar(Super Universal Gym, Navelim); Nihal Khandeparkar(Chiranjivee Gym, Ponda); Arshad Khan (Pitbull Gym, St Cruz); Yusuf Azad Tigadi, (Chowgule Gym, Margao) and Rafik Dessai (Pitbull Gym, St Cruz).
75kg weight category: Vinay Shetty (Mark Fitness, Assolna); Deepesh Mardolkar (Hardcorz Gym, Marcel) and Brijesh Kunkolkar (Growth Fitness, Gym)
