PANJIM: GFA Administrator Jovito Lopes has been appointed as the acting secretary until the appointment of the general secretary.
“We have appointed Jovito Lopes as the acting secretary to help in better functioning of the GFA until the appointment of the General secretary,” said GFA President Churchill Alemao.
Jovito moved into GFA as an administrator and had been actively involved in structuring the GFA administrative roles and getting the house in order. His contribution was acknowledged by all the members wherein he was unanimously appointed as the acting secretary by all the executive committee members and received no objection from any members during the committee meeting.
However, Churchill Alemao haven’t ruled out Aleixo’s appointment as the general secretary and said, “We are awaiting for the required permissions and clearances from concerned authority for the appointment of Aleixo Costa and once that is cleared everything shall be sorted,” added Alemao.
