COLLEM: Kalika Sports and Cultural Club of Collem defeated Sai Sports and Cultural Club of Tisk-Usgao Dharbandoda in the finals of limited overs cricket tournament organised by Kalika Sports and Cultural Club of Collem at Metawada-Collem ground.
Kalika got Rs 20,000 plus a trophy. Sai received Rs 10,000 and a trophy. Jai Kissan SC, Kalye got Rs 5000 and a trophy for standing 3rd place in a tournament.
Man-of-the series Rupesh of Sai. Man-of-the match Appa Gad of Kalika.
Thirty teams participated.
Ganesh Gaonkar, president, Tchouk Ball Association Goa and founder member of Sanvordem Pragatimanch was the chief guest. Manish Lambor, a social worker from Collem was the guest of honour. Naresh Shigaonkar, Krishna Gauns, Gandhi, Santosh Khandeparkar were also present. Vittal Dessai welcomed. Santosh Khadeparkar proposed the vote of thanks.
