PANJIM: Saraswat VHS scored an easy 7-wicket win over Mustifund High School to emerge champions of the U-14 President’s Cup (North Zone) played at SAG ground, Campal-Panjim, on Tuesday.
Mustifund HS won the toss and elected to bat first and managed to score a total of 84 runs in 19.3 overs wherein Kushal Churi took 6 wickets for Saraswat VHS while Rudrakshy Sangodkar too 3 wickets and Gaurang picked one to hold Mustifund HS whose highest scorers were Lakmesh Pawne (28) and Mrunmay (10).
In reply Saraswat scored 85 runs in 22.3 over with a loss of only 3 wickets.
Kaushal Churi at the crease scored 35 runs and was not out. Aryan Mashelkar, Mrunmay and Lakmesh picked a wicket each for Mustifund HS in a futile attempt to hold the rivals.
