DONGORIM-MAJORDA: Kaykee Youth Club defeated Scorpion Boys Nuvem 5-3 to emerge champions of the Guardian Cup mini lightening football tournament, organised by the Kaykee Youth Club at Bull Arena , Nagoa, Verna, on Sunday.
The teams played at a very high pace with both teams pressing hard to find the net, as the ball rolled from one to end to another.
The match ended 5-3 in favour of Kaykee Youth Club with Elrich D’Silva bagging a total of 4 goals and Samuel Dad also finding the net. Sadeeh Mulla, Warren D’Sa were got their names on the scoresheet for Scorpion Boys.
Scorpion Boys tried hard to get back into the game but Kaykee’s goalkeeper Shane Estibeiro was equal to the task.
Rekha D’Silva was the chief guest and presented the trophy to the Kaykee Youth Club players in presence of Chairperson Anjulo P. Fernandes. The prizes were donated by Wilfred D’Sa, MLA, Nuvem Constituency.
