MAPUSA: A brilliant hat-trick by Kendrick enabled Saligao United SC register a hard fought 3-2 win over Sinquerim SC in Candolim Panchayat Cup football at Dr. Gustavo Monteiro ground, Candolim, on Tuesday.
Saligao went ahead as Kendrick Menezes chipped the ball over the onrushing Sinquerim custodian. Hardly had the cheers died down as Sinquerim equalized through Vinayak Rane.
Sinquerim went ahead in the 46th minute through Krish Naroji whose power packed strike from inside the penalty box beat the Saligao goalkeeper.
Saligao retaliated and equalised through Kendrick Menezes off a pass from Murphy Fernandes. Five minutes before the final hooter, Kendrick completed his hat-trick.
