PANJIM: Kewal Tamhankar and Shivani Ghantkar won Junior boys and girls table tennis championship, organized by Mushtifund Table Tennis Academy of Mushtifund Saunstha, at school hall, recently.
Rutuj Sonawne, Akshata Nair, Vedic Shrivastava and Prutha Parrikar claimed the titles in sub-junior boys, girls, cadet boys and girls respectively.
The tournament was inaugurated by ex-Goa table tennis champion Ajit Ghantkar in the presence of Mushtifund Saunstha Treasurer Dilip Dharwadker, School Headmistress Aparna Chari and Mushtifund academy coach Subhash Kolwalkar.
Aparna welcomed the chief guest. Chief guest Ghantkar in his speech advised the participants to play the game with dedication and hardwork. He also guided them on the fitness.
Dharwadker briefed about the sports activities conducted by Mushtifund Saunstha.
He stated that Mushtifund academy has been conducting table tennis coaching since last three years under the guidance of coach Subhash Kolwalkar.
PE teacher of the school Sudan Shirodkar proposed a vote of thanks.
