PANJIM: Khorlim XI beat Sunny Club Mapusa by seven wickets in the GCA A Division North, at GCA ground, Porvorim, on Wednesday.
Sunny Club won the toss and elected to bat.
They were bundled out for 153 runs in 35.3 overs. Rohan Naik was the top scorer of the innings with 34 runs off 34 balls. Khorlim’s Shiva Kumar Gowda scalped 4 wickets while Mohd Shahid & Sahil Dhuri picked 2 wickets each.
In reply, Khorlim XI chased down the target in 22.3 overs. Opener Hemant Kumar was the top scorer with 62 runs off 34 balls. Sunny Club’s Sankalp Pednekar and Prasad Surlaker picked up a wicket each.
In the second match of the day, Madkai Yuvak Sangh defeated Noorani Sports and Cultural Club by eight wickets.
Noorani SCC won the toss and elected to bat.
Sagar Waghamare scored 52 runs off 54 balls. Hari Sawant scalped 3 wickets for the opposition.
In reply, Madkai Yuvak Sangh chased down the target as their top order Umesh Khedekar(57 n.o) Felix Dias (53) and Shinde Suraj (51) contributed at regular intervals.
