Kit distribution held at GFDC Siolim centre

PANJIM: The Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) Siolim centre distributed football kit to 50 trainees at the St. Anthony Cup football final organised by St. Anthony’s Marna Sports Club, at the Church ground in Siolim, recently.
Minister for Waste Management, RDA and Captain of Ports, Michael Lobo was the chief guest at the function.
He praised GFDC for training and providing the kids with playing kits. He also pointed out that the football ground where the kids were training and playing should be of a better quality. Lobo mentioned that if the church came forward to take up the work of upgrading the ground he was ready to help. The guest of honour at the function and GFDC Member Secretary, Aleixo da Costa distributed the kits to the trainees along with the other dignitaries.
Earlier three Ex – GFDC trainees namely Saideep Pomburphekar (FC Goa), Madan Pomburphekar and Utkarsh Khorjuvenkar (Dempo SC) were felicitated.
Also present at the function were EX- MLA of Siolim, Dayanand Madrekar; GFA-Vice President, Lavino Rebello; GFA member, Babli Mandrekar; Ex-Sarpanch, Sylvester Fernandes; Siolim Sarpanch, Nilesh Vaigankar; Social Worker, Salu Fernandes; panch members of Siolim Village Panchayat, trainees, parents and locals.
