PANJIM: KK Brothers, Cortalim downed Friends 7, Fatorda 3-2 to advance into the quarter-finals of Mathias Cup football tournament organised by Sirida Boys at River Plate Siridao Sports Club ground, on Tuesday.
KK Brothers’ young talented players showcased excellent footballing skills with short passes and took the lead. Then, as the match progressed, Friends 7 equalised before the half time.
After the break, KK Brothers continued to dominate the proceedings and scored two more goals in quick successions.
Friends 7 with the setback didn’t give up the fight and kept on attacking the rival citadel. In the process, they managed to pull off a goal thereby sealing their fate.
