Lalita (Haryana), Ankita and Deepika won gold medals on the opening day of the 2-day 6th National organised by Matsogi-Do Association of Goa at SAG multipurpose hall, Fatorda on Thursday.
In the 23kg girl’s (0-14 yrs), Lalita bagged the gold while the silver went to Tanvi Gupta.
In the 23-26kg category, Ankita of Uttrakhand bagged the gold while her colleague Samik Sha and Anit Kour claimed the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Deeika of Haryana clinched the gold medal in the girls 26 to 29 kg section while Aditi of Uttarakhand and Kangeena of Jammu and Kashmir won the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Earlier, Tito Cardozo, councilor, Margao Municipal Council and president of Matsogi Do Association of Goa was the chief guest and declared the championship open in the presence of Taranjeet Singh, president, Matsogi-Do Federation of India. Umesh Vaz and Baburao Tirodkar presided.
