CURCHOREM: Lapaz Garden Cricket Club scored a thrilling one run victory over Dempo Juniors to win the the 11th All Goa White Season Ball T20 cricket tournament organised by Sanvordem Gymkhana Sports Cultural Association (SGSCA) and Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) in collaboration with Sanguem-Quepem Patrakar Sangh (SQPS), at SAG ground, Curchorem, recently.
Lapaz Garden Cricket Club scored 134/9 in the alotted 20 overs. Vaibhav Chowgule(39), Suraj Dangre(21) and Vishwajeet Fadte (19) were the top contributors.
The Dempo bowlers put in a decent effort as Sagar Gosavi and Aditya Dhomal scalped 3 wickets while Chirag Khunna grabbed a wicket.
In reply, Dempo Juniors fell short by a run. Tunish Sawkar was the top scorer with 52 runs followed by Chirag Chowgule (21) and Shubham Dessai (22).
For Lapaz, Anant Tambekar picked up 3 wickets while Krishnan Unni grabbed 2 wickets and Vedant Naik managed to get a wicket.
South Goa Member of Parliament Narendra Sawaikar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of CCMC Councillor Balkrishna (Pinty) Hodarkar, SQPS President Prahar Sanvordekar and other dignitaries.
