PANJIM: Saibaba Sports Club and Lapaz Gardens Cricket Club recorded easy victories over their opponents in the 18th Sanguem T20 leather-ball cricket tournament, organised by Sanguem Cricketers and played at Sanguem Government ground, Sanguem on Thursday.
In the first match of the day, Saibaba Sports Club thumped Mangalmurti Sports Club by huge margin of 9 wickets. Electing to bat first, Mangalmurti Sports Club inning folded at just 110 runs. Saibaba SC achieved the target with 9 wickets in hand. Opener Manthan Khutkar hammered unbeaten 52 runs.
In the second one sided match, Lapaz Gardens Cricket Club easily outwitted Kelbai Sports Club by 10 wickets. Chasing just 135 runs for win, Lapaz Gardens achieved the target in style without losing any wicket with openers Suraj Dongre and Tushar Narvekar cracking half-centuries.

Sahil Dhuri 3-16, Heramb Parab 2-9, Amulya Pandrekar 2-14) lost to Saibaba Sports Club, 114 for 1 in 13.2 overs (Manthan Khutkar 52no, Rajan Dhamsekar 34, Rajshekhar Harikant 16no runs. Kelbai Sports Club, 134 all out in 19.2 overs (Sawan Fatarpekar 47, Sanket Morajkar 12, Reuben Karekar 25 runs. Chirag Khurana 3-19, Sarfaraz Nawaz 2-22, Dheeraj Yadav 2-23) lost to Lapaz Gardens Cricket Club, 135 for no loss in 10.1 overs (Suraj Dongre 56no, Tushar Narvekar 54no runs).
