Last-gasp Reliston strike earns Cross Boys win

CHICALIM: Cross Boys, Vasco defeated Dabolim United SC 3-2 in the GFA Second Division football match, played at Chicalim ground, here on Friday.
After suffering a massive 0-8 defeat against Mormugao United, Cross Boys started the match strongly with Clinton Pacheco testing the keeper in the 10th minute with a long range effort which was easily blocked by the rival custodian. 
In the 12th minute, Dabolim Francisco Vaz took control of the ball from Seby Fernandes and dribbled past Alabito Tirkey and Amit Latye of Cross Boys and released a power-packed shot but Cross Boys keeper Prassappa Harijan pushed the ball to safety. 
Cross Boys almost took the lead in the 16th minute but Preetesh Mayenkar’s long range effort hit the Dabolim cross bar and went out of play.
Cross Boys finally took the lead in the 25th minute when Srijith M shot gave no chance for the rival keeper to make it 1-0.
Akbar Shaik header missed the Dabolim nets in the 27th minute.
Preetesh Mayenkar doubled the account for Cross boys in the 30th minute
The over confidence of Cross boys cost them two goals which came from the boots of Vicky Miranda and Francis Vaz in the 37th and 88th minute respectively.
Reliston Fernandes scored the match-winner for Cross Boys in the 89th minute.
