PANJIM: The fourth edition of the Linc Tower Run, Goa 2017, the iconic race up and down the staircases of five seven-storey buildings (total 840 steps up and 840 steps down) at Panjim’s business hub, EDC Complex, Patto, will be held on February, at 8 a.m.
It is organised jointly by Young Indians (Yi) Goa and Adventure Breaks. It is sponsored by Linc Properties, Harpreet Pasricha’s Diet Clinic, Frugurt, Sunshine Worldwide School, House of Grains and Norbert’s Fitness Studio, and supported by EDC, GTDC, CCP, SAG, Business Goa, Prudent Media, Sirius Sports and iStaySporty.
There are three race categories: The full Linc Tower Run, the Team Linc Tower Run, the Vertical Sprint, and a non-competitive event: the Sunshine Fit-athon. In the individual event, participants run up and down the stairs of Gera’s Imperium II, Gera’s Imperium I, Kamat Plaza, and Dempo Trade Centre (twice), and then to the finish.
Teams of five members do a relay; each person runs up and down one building and passing the baton to the next. There are three Team categories: Groups, Corporate and Student. The Vertical Sprint is a race up the seven stories of Gera’s Imperium II and down again.
Participants in the Sunshine Fit-athon, initiated by the Sunshine Worldwide School, can do all the buildings, just one, or any combination. It is an event in which every participant is a winner.
