PANJIM: Lourdes Basketball narrowly edged out the threat from Vasco Cagers by 1 point on day 3 of the All Star Games 2022 basketball tournament, organised by Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, on Tuesday.
The game was an absolute nail biter, with Lourdes beating Vasco in the final seconds of the game 47-46.
Shubham Singh put on a stellar show for Lourdes, scoring 24 points, including the crucial go-ahead basket. Lokesh Yadav scored 14 points for Vasco Cagers.
In the second game, YMCA Knights got the better of Siolim Basketeers 48-38. Dillano Marchon scored 13 points, and was ably supported by Flobert Monteiro who scored 8 points.
