NUVEM: Loutolim Veterans got the better of Verna Veterans 5-4 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Nuvem Veterans inter-village football tournament, organised by Nuvem Veterans and played at Nuvem church ground, on Thursday.
There was no score in the regulation time. In the tie-breaker, Loutolim veterans netted through Agostinho Cardozo, Melvin Fernandes, Henry, Joao Pedro and Lawrence Fernandes while for Verna Veterans Manuel Moniz, Jacinto Abranches, Florian Piexioto and Baptist D’Mello were on target.
