FATORDA: Loyola HS, Margao blanked OL of Rosary High School, Fatorda 2-0 to emerge as champs in the U-14 Subroto Mukherjee Salcete Taluka inter school football tournament organised by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs and played at Astroturf ground, Fatorda on Saturday.
Loyola HS took the lead in the 15th minute through Nathan Almeida.
In the second session,n Alden Fernandes made issue more safe for Loyola HS scoring the second goal in the 57th minute.
Loyola’s now qualify to play in the South District level Subroto Mukherjee U-14 football tournament.
Earlier in the semi-finals, Loyola High School, Margao registered a solitary goal win over St Joseph Educational Institute, Chandor while Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda defeated Holy Spirit Institute Margao 1-0.
