SERAULIM: Loyola High School Margao, Holy Cross Cavelossim, Perpetual Succour Navelim and St Jude Betalbatim moved into the semifinals of the Jawaharlal Da Costa Memorial, inter-school U-16 five-a-side football tournament, organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim in at The Base, on Thursday.
The Kings School Sao Jose De Areal drew against Perpetual Succour Navelim 2-2. Abiel and Jeff scored a goal each for The Kings. Joel and Macklon netted for Perputual Succour.
Infant Jesus HS Colva drew against Holy Cross Cavelossin 1-1. Rousille and Jonas scored a goal each for Infant Jesus and Holy Cross Cavelossim respectively. St Jude HS Betalbatim defeated St Anthony’s Majorda 3-2. Shirwan scored a brace and Megan added the third for St Jude HS.
Gulshan and Satish scored a goal each to end the match with a 3-2 score in favour of St Jude H.S
Loyola H.S trashed Manovikas Margao 8-2. The highlight of the match was a hat-trick from Keith. Ashnoy scored a brace while Linden, Massimo and Brandon scored a goal each for Loyolas. Vivaan scored a brace for Manovikas to take the score to 8-2 in favour of Loyola. Holy Cross Cavelossim made light work of St Anthony Majorda defeating 4-1. Asher and Jonas scored a brace each for Holy Cross while Gulshan was the lone scorer for Majorda.
The Kings Sao Jose de Areal trashed Manovikas Margao 6-3. Abel scored four while Khusail and Tanisqve also got on the score sheet. Vivaan scored a hat-trick for Manovikas.
