MARGAO: Loyola High School, Margao, Mount’s Mary’s High School, Chinchinim, St Anthony’s High School, Majorda and Bethany Convent High School, Sao Jose de Areal all entered the quarter finals of Salcete Taluka U-14 Boys Subroto Mukherjee inter school football tournament organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Manora ground, Raia on Tuesday.
Loyola High School thumped Assumpta Convent High School, Sarzora 3-0. Aaron Baretto, Warren Pereira and Dareen Gomes were the goal getters for Loyola HS.
Mount’s Mary’s High School, Chinchinim prevailed over Holy Spirit Institute High School, Margao 4-2 via tie breaker after both the teams were goalless at the end of regulation time.
Bethany Convent HS trashed Holy Rosary Convent HS, Nuvem 5-1. Melisio Camotim scored a brace while Josley Moura, Viear Travasso and Mark Carvalho scored a goal each for Bethany Convent. Riston Colaco scored a goal to reduce the deficit for Holy Rosary Convent HS.
St Anthony’s HS pipped Perpetual Succour Convent HS 1-0 with Everley Dias scoring the winner.
