MARGAO: At the recently held elections, Luis Caetano Quadros was elected as the new President of Raia Sporting Club, one of the oldest and most renowned clubs in the State.
As the new president, Quadros will likely play a key role in shaping the future of the club and overseeing its operations.
With unwavering determination, he vowed to continue steering all the major activities of the club, ensuring their smooth operation and progress. Going beyond mere maintenance, Quadros aimed to propel the club to new heights, injecting it with innovation and ambition.
Joaquim Fernandes secured the position of Vice-President through elections. Additionally, Patrick Pacheco assumed the role of Secretary, Teodoro Gomes as Assistant Secretary, Peter Ivo Medeira as Treasurer, and Benny Xavier as Assistant Treasurer, with all elected unopposed.
Among the nominated members for the executive committee are Anthony Oliveira, slated for the role of Sports Secretary, and Francisco Cardozo, designated as Assistant Sports Secretary. Additionally, Navnath Shirodkar and Savio Gomes are nominated for the positions of Public Relations Officers (PROs), tasked with enhancing the club’s outreach and communication efforts. Kishore Rivonkar is nominated as the Organising Secretary, entrusted with co-ordinating and managing various club activities and events. Furthermore, Joao Domingo Gomes is slated to serve as the Team Manager for the Raia Sporting Club team. John Fernandes, Francisco Souza, Jose Alemao, Anthony Pango, Pele Xavier, Candolito Cruz, Renato Madre De Deus, Aleluia Gonsalves, Peter Ferrao, Vincy Gomes, Jose Martin Fernandes, Olive M.D. Fernandes, and Johny D’Cruz have all been nominated to serve as members of the Executive Committee.
