PANJIM: Host M7FC secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Goa United in the M7 -Spartacus King of the Week Futsal Tournament, organised by M7 FC at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, on Tuesday.
Fielding their full strength M7FC started attacking from the first whistle as Auzden and Micheal combined well for the side and created regular inroads.
However, the Panjim side couldn’t get past the strong Goa United defence marshalled by Akon and Yannick.
Goa United keeper Andy Fernandes put up a solid display as he pulled off stunning saves in quick succession to deny Beneston and Craig on couple of occasions. Neither sides could break the deadlock in the first half. However, crossing ends, M7FC came back stronger and scored two goals through Craig and Micheal. Goa United had their chances but keeper Augistin did well in the M7 goal.
In the second match, Sanir scored a scintillating hat-trick to help his side Bonifacio score a 3-0 win over Bongo Boys.
Bonifacio were the better sides among the two in the opening minutes of the match and soon turned their domination into lead when Sachin played Sanir through on goal and the later rounded off the keeper in style to slam the ball into the nets.
