Macazana Welfare Club edged past Youth Sports Club, Colvale 1-0 in Taca Goa Second Division League at Curtorim ground, on Tuesday. Macazana led 1-0 at the breather.
The match-winner came in the 8th minute through a spot kick. Macazana’s Mecklon Colaco was brought down by a Colvale defender and the referee pointed to the dreaded spot. Fredrick Endro made no mistake with the resultant spot kick.
Crossing over, Colvale kept themselves in the hunt for the equalizer but their forwards either shot wide or straight into the hands of the rival goalkeeper.
