On the sixth day of the tournament, Sanil Shetty of Madal Bal defeated Virashree Blue’s Dheeraj Rai 11-7, 11-8 and 11-8 in the first match of the best of five.
In the second match, Adarsh P lost to Aman Balgu 1-11, 4-11, 6-11.
Virashree Blue took the lead in the third match as Noel Noronha got the better of Sagar Kulkarni 8-11, 5-11, 6-11.
However, Sanil Shetty beat Aman Balgu 13-11, 11-6, 11-8 and Adarsh P beat Dheeraj Rai 11-8, 11-5, 11-8 in the fourth and fifth matches respectively to get their hands on the title.
MLA of Panjim constituency Siddarth Kuncalienkar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Panjim Gymkhana president Manoj Caculo, vice-president Gaurish Dhond, Sunilkumar Naik, Suresh Karapurkar, Kapil Angle, Kishore Angle, Atish Angle and Vishnu Kolvalkar.
