FATORDA: Mae Dos Pobres HS, Nuvem and Marina English HS, Verna registered wins over their opponents to move ahead in the U-17 Subroto Mukherjee Salcete Taluka football tournament organised by DSYA, at Astroturf ground, Fatorda, on Monday.
In the first match, Mae Dos Pobres HS blanked Crescent HS, Fatorda 4-0. Darwin Colaco scored a brace while Shenoy Colaco and Melyan Dias scored a goal each.
In the second match, Marina English HS, Verna shocked Rosary HSS, Navelim 3-2 via the tie-breaker. After a goalless draw, Nevil Menezees, Ashwek Jadhav and Mysler Braganca scored for Marina EHS while Mevan Dias and Anestein Furtado were on target for Rosary HSS.
