FATORDA: Mae Dos Pobres High School, Nuvem blanked Rosary High School, Navelim 3-0 to advance into the next round of the U-14 Suborto Mukerjee Cup (Salcete Zone) football tournament, at artificial turf, Fatorda, on Friday.

Rosary HS should have come back in the match for atleast a equalizer but Ajay Raj’s acrobatic styled shot hit the cross bar of Nuvem and went out of play in the 30th minute.
Rezvin Kullu of Rosary found the open net of Nuvem in the 32nd minute after dribling past Aliston Borges and Shenoy Colaco but to his dismay the rival goalkeeper fisted the ball for a corner kick.
Darren Fernandes of Mae Dos Pobres scored the third for his team in the dying minute of second half.
In another two matches, The Kings School, Sao Jose de Areal defeated AIM School by 1-0 while St Jude High School, Betalbatim edged past St Anthony High School, Majorda 3-2 via the tie-breaker.
