Maina lift Avrilio Trophy

Maina Six won the finals of Fr. Avrilio Memorial XIIth South Goa floodlight volleyball tournament organised by United Boys of Ambaulim at Ambaulim court. They beat Vasco 25-20, 25-20, 20-25, 25-20 margin.
Reymond Santiago and Rui D’Mello shone for Maina.
Maina made it to the final defeating Our Lady of Piety, Navelim 25-18, 25-9, 23-25, 23-25, 15-5 while Vasco reached the final defeating Xeldem Sports Club 25-17, 20-25, 23-25, 25-15, 18-16.
Quepem MLA, Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar was the chief guest. Ambaulim Parish Priest Fr.Ubaldo was the guest of honour. Ambaulim sarpanch was the special invitee.
Babu appreciated the efforts of United Boys of Ambaulim in organising the tournament for 12 consecutive years. He stated that this is the best volleyball tournament in South Goa.
