FATORDA: Maina SC defeated CRSC, Navelim 2-1 in a GFA Under-13 boys league football tournament at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda on Monday.
Navelim netted the first goal in the 10th minute through Ethan Carvalho.
Later in the 24th minute, Farahan Shaikh of Maina collected the ball from Joseph D’Costa, dribbled past a couple of CRSC defenders and sent in a power-packed shot which crushed into Navelim net.
Joseph D’Costa of Maina missed a chance to score in the 39th minute.
Later, Avital Niasso of Navelim shot wide.
It was Farahan Shaikh of Maina who, after dribbling past a couple of Navelim defenders, shot from close range in the 45th minute to reduce the margin.
