PANJIM: Majorda FC defeated FC Bardez 7-6 via tie-breaker to clinch the 12th All-Goa inter-village Ramadan cup, finals, at Dubai, recently.
Both the teams started off with intensity and the breakthrough was achieved in the 7th minute as Fraizer Picardo of Majorda FC curled a powerful free kick, to take the early lead.
Majorda dominated the game with many chances, Jayson and Clayton combined well, as they tried to increase the margin but the strike hit the post.
In the second half, FC Bardez came strongly in search of an equalizer when Ryan and Francis came closer to score.
Finally FC Bardez got a helping hand when referee awarded a penalty for a handball in the dying minutes of the match.
Dominic made no mistake as which Domnic converted to level the scores.
At the end of normal time , both the teams setlled for 1-1.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Majorda FC proved to be better shooters, as they won the shootout by 7-6.
