In the final match, Sushila Oli of Mallikarjun won the first single against Namrata Kamble of CES 22-20 and 21-15.
In the second single’s encounter, Selina D’Souza of CES fought back from a set down against Sneha Pagi of Mallikajun to win 19-21, 21-14, 21-19. In the deciding doubles match, Mallikarjun pair of Sushila and Sneha thumped Namrata and Selina 21-13 and 21-19.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, CES, Cuncolim defeated GVM’s Ponda 2-0 and Mallikarjun, Canacona overcame Rosary College, Navelim 2-1.
Mallikarjun College were represented by Sneha Pagi, Sushila Oli, Suvarna Velip, Pratiksha Gaonkar and Chaya Velip.
Whereas, Cuncolim Educational Society were represented by Selina D’Souza, Namrata Kamble, Sanika Kolwekar, Maezel Cardozo and Noorjahan Shaikh.
M Chakraborthy, Head of Computer Centre, Goa University was the chief guest and handed the trophies and medals to the finalist.
