SANVORCOTTO-CUNCOLIM: Mandopa SC blanked Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda 3-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the 10th Cuncolim Union inter-village rolling football tournament, organised by Cuncolim Union at Cuncolim ground on Thursday.
The teams were held goalless in the first session. In the second half, Mandopa coach Inacio Vaz gave extra task to Prestly Gomes too take control of midfield as well as lead the attack upfront and this plan worked as the lad scored the first from a distance.
Mandopa doubled the lead through Longston Luis off a pass from Climax Lawrence in the 50th minute
Mandopa’s Pricely Costa netted the third just before the final whistle.
