PARODA: Mandopa SC blanked Ambelim SC 2-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the Fr Agnel soccer organised by Fr Agnel YC Paroda, at Avedem ground, Paroda, on Monday.
Langston Luis opened the account for Mandopa SC with a placement shot in the 9th minute off Rowan Pereira’s pass. Thereafter, in the 13th minute, Haiden Pinto of Ambelim could have netted but his power-packed shot banged the Mandopa SC’s crossbar and went out off play. As the match progressed, in the 50th minute, Langston doubled the lead 2-0 to complete his brace. Under pressure Ambelim SC tried their best to come back in action to reduce the margin but in vain.
