SANGUEM: Manguirish beat Cricket Club of Ponda by eight wickets in the C Division match organised by Goa Cricket Asssociation, at Sanguem ground, on Tuesday.
CC Ponda won the toss and elected to bat. They scored of 221 for 9 alotted 40 overs.
Mangesh Naik was the top scorer of the innings with 75 runs followed by Rupesh Naik (71).
The Manguirish bowlers put up a formidable performance as Ketan Jalmi scalped 3 wickets while Raj Borkar picked up 2 wickets. Abhishek Kotambarkar and Vishlesh Dalvi grabbed a wicket each.
In reply, Manguirish chased down the target in 28.1 overs.
Akshay Naik and Abhishek Kothambarkar scored half centuries while Ketan Jalmi fell short of his half century by 4 runs.
The CC Ponda bowlers failed to restrict their opponents as only Saiprasad Naik managed to pick up a wicket.
