MARGAO: Manish Naik (78) and Pratik Gauns (53) put up a solid batting display helping Curchorem Gymkhana score a 28-run victory over Rising Stars of Sirvoi in the B Division GCA Cricket League organized by Goa Cricket Association, at Dr Rajendra Prasad stadium, on Wednesday.
Batting first, Curchorem Gymkhana posted 250 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 35 overs. Anand Kerkar was the most successful bowler claiming four for 43 runs.
Chasing 251 to win, Rising Stars of Shirvoi scored 222 for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 35 overs. Girish Bene top scored with 68 runs. For Curchorem Gymkhana, Prahalad Uppar and Pratik Gauns shared two wickets each.
