MARGAO: Gretel Pereira’s brace gave Manovikas EMS a hard fought win in the 1st CSC Girls U-15 Futsal Cup organised by YFA in partnership with the The Kings School, at Chowgule Sports Centre, Margao, on Saturday.
Naomi Viegas scored the other while Heena Mulla scored a brace for Infant Jesus HS Colva.
St.Anthony’s HS Majorda fought back gallantly to steal a point from Rosary HS Navelim in an entertaining 1-1 draw.
Velanda D’Silva scored early on to give Rosary HS the lead but a error from the otherwise reliant keeper of Rosary HS from Sneha S. Naik’s shot allowed St Anthony’s to steal a vital point.
The King’s School continued their rich vein of form as they thumped Saviour of the World, Loutolim by 8-0.
Lillian Fernandes and Kartika Rawat bagged a hat-trick for themselves and Sania Trisha Cardozo added her name to the scorer’s sheet.
The Loutolim tried their best to get on the scoresheet but were shut down totally by their opponent’s all round performance.
