SANGOLDA: Maradona Boys beat Sunrise Boys 5-4 via tie-breaker in the final of the 1st Sangolda inter-ward football tournament organised by the Sangolda Panchayat, at Sangolda ground, on Sunday.
Tanay Naik opened the scoring to give Sunrise the lead. At half time the score was 1-0 in favour of Sunrise.
In the second half, Maradona Boys came with renewed vigour and equalised through Anil Palyekar off a good pass by Raymond Alvarez.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Maradona Boys proved to be the better shooters.
Bansilal Naik was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up.
