CURCHOREM: Maratha Warriors & Lapaz Gardens Cricket Club of Vasco enter in the semi-finals of the Babu Brothers T-20 leather ball cricket tournament organized by Babu Brothers SC and played at SAG Sports Complex ground – Curchorem on Thursday.
In the first match – Maratha Warriors beat Young Star of Majorda by 36 runs while in the second match – Lapaz Gardens CC easily outwitted Arlem Cricket Club by 69 runs.
Brief scores: Maratha Warriors, 186 for 6 in 20 overs (Maliksab Shirur 97 not out, Mohit Redkar 42, Pradnesh Gaonkar 15 runs. Yogesh Naik 2-18, Satish Yadav 1-38, Salman Khan 1-43) beat Young Star of Majorda, 150 all out in 18.4 overs (Ayush Verlekar 76, Yogesh Naik 30, Durgesh Prabhugaonkar 13 runs. Krupesh Palkar 3-18, Maliksab Shirur 3-31, Yogesh Kavthankar 1-33, Mohit Redkar 1-37). Man of the match – Maliksab Shirur (Maratha Warriors).
Lapaz Gardens CC, 169 for 9 in 18 overs (Tushar Narvekar 34, Suraj Dongre & Sherbahadur Yadav 30 runs each, Dheeraj Narvekar 28 runs.
