OLD MARDOL-VERNA: Marc Caterers Veterans registered a solitary goal win over JCT Nagoa to move into the next round of the Marc Caterers Veterans football, at Old Mardol ground, Verna, on Wednesday.
In the first half, JCT came closer to score the first goal but Anthony failed to net and shot over the Marc cross bar.
JCT Nagoa striker Alex Alvares dodged the Marc Caterers defenders Jose and Jack and shot from close range but to the latter’s dismay the rival goalkeeper saved it.
In the second half, Marcus crossed the ball to Martin Pereira who made no mistake and netted the winner.
