VARCA: Marc Veterans edged past Candolim Veterans 2-1 to move into the semi-finals of the 1st All Goa Veterans Soccer organised by Texas Boy’s Varca, at Varca football ground on Monday.
Marc Veterans took the lead in the 10th minute through Rosario Carvalho. In the second half, Robert Fernandes doubled the lead for Marc Veterans through a well placed header giving no chance for Candolim Veterans goalkeeper.
Nelson Fernandes reduced the margin for Candolim Veterans.
Nelson Fernandes of Candolim Veterans was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match award.
