Margao CA, Lucknow CA, Dwarka and Narmada register wins in the second round

MARGAO: Teams from Nashik (Dwarka), Goa, Lucknow and  Gujarat beat Belgaum, Satara, Nashik CA and Hyderabad respectively to stay in the hunt for a place in the final in the second Late Bhikoo Pai Angle Memorial tournament organised by Margao Cricket Youth Club.
 At Fatorda ground, The Nashik CA won the toss and elected to bat. But a wonderful spell of bowling by the Lucknow CA bowlers Abhishek (3/20), Shivam (2/15) and Abhinav (3/19) skittled out the Nashik outfit for 109 in 32.1 overs.  But off spinner Ravindra Maccha (5/28) led the fight back as Lucknow who were at one stage 90 for scraped past the total 110 in 37.1 overs. Sammer (20) and Satwik (16 n.o) played well for the winners.
 Meanwhile, at Curchorem ground, in a pulsating match, the Goan outfit Margao CA got the better of Satara CA by 14 runs. Batting first, the MCA scored 202 all out in 41.2 overs. Jarvis Faliero (58) shared a 115 run partnership with Raunaq Singh for the first wicket. But wickets started tumbling at regular intervals with Arnav (27) batting well with the tail enders. Kapil and Harsh took 3 wickets each. Satara were all out for 188 in 44.3 overs. Anish Shirsat(25) Sahil (46), Kapil (43) Shivesh and Parth (20 each) played well for Satara. Granthik Buyao, Rudresh Sharma, Aryan Prabhudesai and Dhiraj Gupta claimed 2 wickets each.
 Narmada got the better of Daniel CA (Hyderabad) by 7 wickets, at Agonda ground. Daniel batted first and scored 195 with Satvik (86), Kushan (40) playing well for the Hyderabad team. Sandesh was the best Narmada (Gujarat) bowler on view with 3/25). But a swashbuckling knock of 128 by Priyank and good support from Devajit (41) saw the Narmada team overhaul the Daniel CA total losing only 3 wickets in 35.2 overs.
 At Shiroda ground, Dwarka (Nashik) batted first and scored 253 for 9 in 45 overs Ansh scoring a century (113) with Aman (42) and Viraat (52) supporting him well. Yash (3/35) was the successful bowler. The Vijaya team could manage only 184 all out in 35.4 overs with Yash (52) showing all round performance. Arth (4 wickets) was the wrecker in chief.
